Chinese questions

Which Chinese?

Standard Mandarin Chinese (普通话). Regional words are understood, but corrections follow the standard.

Do I need to know characters?

It helps to read some, since the conversation is written in characters. To write, use pinyin with tone marks; for characters, use your system’s input.

What level do I need?

Any. You choose where to start, and Parlenta adjusts as it sees how you write.
